Kathryn Pring, MPT

Director of Medical Operations

Kathryn Pring, MPT is the Director of Physical and Occupational Therapy Services. Originally from Michigan, she attended Oakland University where she earned a Bachelor of Health Science in 1997 and a Master of Physical Therapy in 2000. Following this, she received women’s health and pelvic health education through Herman and Wallace and the American Physical Therapy Association of Women’s Health. She has worked in various environments, some of which include inpatient rehab, acute care, and outpatient orthopedics. Katie has been a part of the Mendelson/Synergy team since 2008. During her time here, she has developed a strong passion for women’s health. With this, she has treated a variety of conditions, including urinary and bowel incontinence, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, and pre- and postnatal care.

Areas of Interest:
Over the years, Katie’s main interest has concerned the health of women in relation to their pelvic health. Through her advanced education at Herman and Wallace and the American Physical Therapy Association of Women’s Health, she has an expansive knowledge in this field, and brings innovative techniques to all patients.

Certificates/Awards:
Katie received a certificate of achievement in obstetric physical therapy. She also created and founded the K. M. Pring Women’s Health Scholarship at Oakland University to help educate various health providers in women’s health. This past year, Katie was featured by Oakland University for her determined care and commitment to her community during COVID-19. She has continued to provide excellent and advanced service to patients during these hard times.

Hobbies:
Some of Katie’s hobbies include running and cooking. She even completed the Boston Marathon. Her most joyous hobby is watching her two daughters dance and act.
