Patellar Tendonitis

Patellar tendonitis, also known as jumper’s knee, is an overuse injury affecting the tendon connecting the kneecap (patella) to the shinbone (tibia). This condition is common among athletes whose sports involve frequent jumping, such as basketball and volleyball. The repetitive stress from jumping, landing, and running can lead to inflammation and micro-tears in the patellar tendon, causing pain and weakness.
