Shoulder Labrum Tear

A shoulder labrum tear is an injury to the ring of cartilage (labrum) that surrounds the socket of the shoulder joint (glenoid). The labrum helps stabilize the shoulder by deepening the socket, allowing the head of the humerus (upper arm bone) to fit more securely. Tears in the labrum can lead to shoulder pain, instability, and decreased range of motion.
