Kennie Brenner, MPT, is Senior Physical Therapist in our Livonia physical therapy clinic. Her employment began in 2000, during which time she worked as a Physical Therapy Technician for a year. She was accepted into and entered the physical therapy program at Wayne State University in 2001. While attending the program, she also raised three sons. In 2002, Kennie received a Bachelor of Science, Emphasis in Physical Therapy and Master of Physical Therapy in 2004. Soon after graduating from the physical therapy program, she returned to the practice as a physical therapist and has worked at Mendelson Kornblum Orthopedics Physical Therapy/Synergy Health Partners ever since.
Kennie enjoys working closely with patients of various orthopedic conditions, including those who come to the clinic post-operatively for knee, hip and shoulder replacements, arthroscopic surgeries and with spinal pain and dysfunction. She is rewarded by being involved in the recovery of her patients and helping them return to their desired level of function. She is a proficient manual-based therapist, using various techniques, including myofascial release and soft tissue mobilizations. Kennie is trained in Kaltenborn-Evjenth manual therapy treatment approach. Additional training includes Blood Flow Restriction Rehabilitation, balance training and the Sara Meeks treatment approach for osteoporosis.
