Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Jonathan Heyl is a physician specializing in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine, with advanced training focused on helping patients manage pain, improve function, and enhance their quality of life.
Dr. Jonathan Heyl completed his Pain Medicine Fellowship through the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan, following his residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan, where he also served as Chief Resident. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Siena Heights University.
His clinical and academic interests include interventional pain care, spine-related conditions, musculoskeletal medicine, and rehabilitation. Dr. Heyl has contributed to medical research and presented on topics including pain outcomes following platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, cluneal neuralgia, interventional pain procedures, and neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
Through a patient-centered approach, Dr. Jonathan Heyl works to understand the source and impact of each patient’s pain while developing an individualized treatment plan designed to improve comfort, mobility, and everyday function.
