Originally from Troy, Michigan, Dr. Sorensen has over 22 years of private practice experience. Dr. Sorensen earned his bachelor’s degree in physiology from Michigan State University. He went on to attend Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, where he received the Dean’s Award for Healthcare. Dr. Sorensen completed his surgical residency training program just north of Detroit at the Southeast Michigan Surgical Hospital. Dr. Sorensen has been surgically trained in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery and has comprehensive experience of both surgical and nonsurgical approaches to foot and ankle problems. He has a focused expertise in minimally invasive bunion surgery. Dr. Sorensen is passionate about providing the highest quality care possible to all his patients, including those with diabetes.
