Adelisa earned her Associate of Arts in Pre-Exercise Science from Grand Rapids Community College before going on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at Grand Valley State University. She then pursued her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University, where her capstone research focused on the pathophysiology, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acne vulgaris — reflecting a broader interest in dermatological health and holistic patient well-being.
Her clinical training encompassed a wide range of rotations including general surgery, internal medicine, women’s health, family medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics, emergency medicine, dermatology, pain management, and orthopedics, giving her hands-on experience across a broad spectrum of patient populations and care environments.
Prior to entering the PA profession, Adelisa worked as a Medical-Surgical Nurse Technician at Corewell Health Blodgett Hospital, where she honed her clinical skills and developed the bedside manner that continues to shape her patient relationships today.
Adelisa holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates.
