Amy Hauxwell is a Licensed Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) with more than two decades of clinical experience serving patients across Michigan. A Michigan native, Amy brings a deep commitment to hand therapy and upper extremity rehabilitation, and has been a trusted member of the Synergy Health Partners team since 2010.
Amy earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Science with an Occupational Therapy concentration from Western Michigan University in 2002. Over the course of her career, she has gained experience in a wide range of clinical settings, including inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, sub-acute rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedics — giving her a comprehensive perspective on patient recovery across the full continuum of care.
Her primary clinical focus is hand therapy, and she holds the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential, which represents the highest level of specialization in upper extremity rehabilitation. She is also certified to administer functional capacity evaluations, providing employers, insurers, and care teams with objective assessments of a patient’s ability to perform work-related tasks.
Outside of the clinic, Amy enjoys reading and spending quality time with her family.
