Dr. Andres Munk attended the Ohio State University for his undergraduate and received his Medical Degree at Ohio State University School of Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Munk completed a residency at Henry Ford Hospital. He went on to complete a Spinal Surgery fellowship at Swedish Hospital in Washington State where he went on to practice for several years before returning to the Detroit area. Dr. Munk practices at both our Warren and Livonia locations and is trained in the latest minimally invasive surgical (MIS) techniques, including the use of the iFuse Implant System® from SI-BONE®, Inc., a medical device company pioneering MIS sacroiliac (SI) joint treatment.

My husband has Si joint fusion surgery done on 8/30/2019 and the experience we had at this surgery center was nothing but the best. They are all amazing staff there. Very caring and welcoming. The facility was also very clean ? Our discharge nurse was heather and she was amazing . So nice and answered all of our questions . Also Dr Munk is an amazing spine surgeon and would recommend him and his staff there to anyone .

Mendelson Kornblum has the best doctors and staff. They have same day appointments for serious injuries. I definitely recommend them to friends and family. Dr. Mulawa is the best! Spends quality time with me reviewing different treatments. Never long wait times and super friendly staff. Dr. Munk is the best orthopedic surgeon around. He makes you feel comfortable and spends time answering questions regarding any surgical procedures.

I've been to Dr. Kornblum for lower back surgery and Dr. Munk for SI Joint surgeries and I've always been treated very well. Both were very professional and up front about everything that I was dealing with, and what to expect. No false hope. But most of all, they were both very easy to talk to about any concerns that I had. I'm very grateful that they were able to help me the way they did. I have seen both Dr Munk and Dr Klein at this practice. Both are excellent and spend time explaining there findings and answering questions. Dr Munk performed a sacroiliac fusion and, while it didn't solve all my problems, I'm very happy with the surgery itself and the quick recovery I experienced. Dr Klein is thorough in his diagnostics and takes all factors into consideration that might be contributing to my chronic condition. I would recommend this practice to family and friends without hesitation.

I love the MedelsonKornblum offices in Livonia. I see mutiple doctors due to mutiple spine/SI joint/ shoulder/ hands/ knees. Great staff in front & back offices friendly, helpful.
