Dr. David H. Mendelson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who completed his undergraduate and medical school training at Wayne State University. After medical school, Dr. David interned at Mount Carmel Mercy Hospital in Detroit before completing his residency through the Northwest Detroit Affiliates program and Shriner’s Hospital in Pennsylvania. He is the former Chief of the Section of Orthopedics at both St. Mary Mercy Livonia Hospital and St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren and has been voted many times by southeast Michigan’s medical professionals as an Hour Detroit magazine “Top Doc” in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Dr. David practices general orthopedics in both our Livonia and Warren office and he is on staff at both St. Mary Mercy Livonia Hospital and St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren.

Dr. Mendelson has been voted by southeast Michigan’s medical professionals as Hour Detroit magazine’s Top Docs in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

I met with Dr. David Mendelson and consulted with him concerning my extreme knee pain and deterioration of my left and right knee. I found Dr. David to not only be very knowledgeable in the orthopedic field, but very compassionate. The staff are friendly, courteous, patient and caring to all they serve and greet. I left my initial appointment feeling so confident. I allow him to perform a complete knee replacement on my left knee on Dec 11th which was very successful. Right knee next! Go Doc

Dr. David Mendelson saw me about ten years ago after I had hyper extended my knee. I had torn the meniscus in my left knee. After diagnosing what was wrong with my knee, he explained that surgery was possible but not his first choice. Because I was a relatively young man, he felt that physical therapy would be a better choice for me. I so appreciated his honesty when he could have chosen to make money. As it turns out, his decision was for the best and improved my life. I am pain free.r

Had my right knee replaced by another surgeon 8 months ago and the difference is amazing. 5 days after surgery by david mendelson i have 115 degrees of flex, i can go up and down stairs normally. And i have minimal pain. It took me 3 months to achieve this with the other surgeon.
