Dr. Francis Elwart is a Doctor of Chiropractic at Synergy Health Partners’ Sterling Heights location, bringing more than two decades of clinical experience to his patients across southeast Michigan. With a career spanning a variety of practice settings — from rural single-provider clinics to multi-disciplinary urban health systems — Dr. Elwart has developed a broad and deep expertise in chiropractic care, personal injury case management, and interdisciplinary patient coordination.
Dr. Elwart earned his Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science, cum laude, from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, before going on to complete his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, magna cum laude, from Life University’s College of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia in 2003.
He began his chiropractic career at Healthline Chiropractic in Livonia, then took on full clinical responsibility at Chiropractic Wellness Center and Back to Health Chiropractic in Metamora, Michigan, where he oversaw all aspects of patient care including examinations, diagnostic imaging, spinal adjustments, and patient education. He subsequently held positions at Universal Health Group and Health Systems in Oak Park, where he managed the full spectrum of personal injury patient care — from initial intake and treatment to specialist referrals, deposition appearances, and IME rebuttals.
In 2016, Dr. Elwart joined Total Health Systems, where he has served as the lead clinician at both the Chesterfield and Center Line locations. He was instrumental in launching the Center Line office in 2017, taking a leadership role in patient education, treatment, and cross-disciplinary referral coordination, as well as managing personal injury case oversight.
Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Elwart is an active community member who has served as Past Grand Knight at St. Lawrence Knights of Columbus Council in Utica, Michigan, and has participated in Toastmasters across multiple clubs.
